“You are caught up in a shadow war, child.” The Future continued, “One in which you have no choice but to be a part of. One in which the forces of darkness have reared their ugly head against the world as we know it, and there is only one way to stop it…”
He paused and gazed at me.
“A shadow war which, indeed, was once held in the silence of the realms, but now the seal is broken, and the time to act has never been so necessary as it is now.”
“Wha… what is it… he… she… what is…?”
“She goes by the name ‘La Sombre Une’,” the Future said.
My eyes dotted about the ground, as I blinked for memory to flag up what that meant.
“But that’s French for…”
“Yes, child. La Sombre Une: ‘Dark One’.”
Born in London; raised in Kampala, Uganda; and raised a little more back in Worcestershire, England, Roy Magara spent most of his days creating fantastical works in his mind.
He is the author of the Quantum trilogy. A series intertwined with myths, magic and mystery that holds more personal attachments than that which meets the eye.
