Born in Kimberley, South Africa, she began her career in nursing before moving to England in 1977. There, she specialised in gastroenterology and became one of the first research nurses in the field.

Elizabeth's diverse background includes complementary medicine, with diplomas in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sports Massage, Shiatsu, and more. She has practiced these therapies for 25 years, serving numerous high-profile clients. Her adventurous spirit led her to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009 to raise funds for cancer research. Her interests include ballroom and Latin American dancing, archaeology, history, the arts, ballet, opera, and drama.
