Legacy of Shadows

by Mark Wells

In “Legacy of Shadows,” the final gripping instalment of the Cambridge Gothic series, the shadow of Ravi Gupta’s past looms large over the hallowed grounds of Cambridge. The once-revered professor grapples with the fallout of a dire secret: a dangerous portal, birthed from ill-considered magic, that now threatens the very fabric of his world. When Gupta suspects his brightest student has ventured into this forbidding realm, he is drawn into a reluctant rescue mission to a world fraught with danger.

The stakes escalate when Gupta encounters his old adversary in this hostile land, a reminder of betrayals long past. Amidst the peril, Gupta must navigate treacherous alliances to bring the young scholar back to safety. Yet, the return to Cambridge brings no respite, as a deadly entity breaches the university’s walls, heralding a threat far greater than academic scandal.

Faced with the spectre of his past misdeeds and a formidable enemy at the gates, Gupta is thrust into a battle for redemption and survival. Will his journey into the heart of darkness redeem his legacy, or will the price of his secrets prove too high?
