I began my professional career writing for the theatre, then short stories, until I arrived at my true calling. Writing Crime and Romance novels. My love for these genres started by watching films and reading hundreds of novels growing up. Writing compelled me to go to university to study Visual Arts for my BA Hons, Film Theory & Production for my Masters and then to PhD research mythology and race in cinema and media.
Noir & Neo Noir, and social romance dramas instilled my passionate interest in the psychology of romance. That profoundly inspired me as a teenager. Then I found and lived with the greatest love of my life for twenty years until he died. The search for love influenced my career as a Professor of Film, Drama, and Creative Writing. Everything I learnt, from reading to tutoring fantastic students, brought me back to life and inspired me to continue writing.
