The Bones of Mary Elwes
by J B MacCallum
Broom Street, a disused underground railway station shrouded in grim tales and left untouched since the 1950s, becomes the focal point for a group of modern-day maintenance workers. The station’s eerie past is thrust into the present when one worker is gravely injured under mysterious circumstances, alleging an invisible force was responsible, and enigmatic light patterns are captured on video, sparking fear and curiosity among the crew.
Driven by the unsettling events, two members of the maintenance team reach out to a specialized group of paranormal investigators, including a notably gifted psychic. Despite lacking formal approval, this intrepid band ventures into the haunting depths of the neglected station and its sprawling network of tunnels to embark on an overnight exploration.
Their investigation takes a chilling turn when they stumble upon a macabre find that sends shockwaves through the group, confirming their worst fears. As the night unfolds, it becomes increasingly clear that they are not alone, and a malevolent entity lurks in the shadows of Broom Street station, eager to make its ominous presence known.
