MAX-CATT: Bastion
Book 5 of the Max-Catt stories
by Bill Diamond
Maximus Hainsworth-Catt or Max-Catt, to most people, was headhunted from the SAS. He was selected to join Bastion, an elite secret service organisation that was set up to negate the ever increasing terrorist attacks in Britain. This threat has heightened since the new Islamic Republican Front (IRF) introduced regional cells in the UK.
Bastion has all the new high-tech equipment with billions of pounds invested into it. That’s how serious the British government are taking the IRF’s threat. Bastion has more power and discretion than GCHQ, MI5, MI6 and the National Anti Terrorist Office (NaCTSO).
A major terrorist attack is imminent on the iconic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, right at the heart of British democracy. A well planned and financed IRF cell are set up to carry out this intriguing operation. Max-Catt is called upon for his first major task to combat the threat.
In the meantime a hit-team has been sent from Afghanistan to eliminate Max-Catt who now has a $100,000 bounty on his head by the aggressive IRF.
