A Tale of Faith and Biology

by

Ayomide was raised in South West of Nigeria by parents who were both devoted to him and their faith. Growing up, he always felt something didn’t add up and there was always that disconnect with his peers. All those numerous trips to specialist doctors did not make things better.
While pursuing graduate studies abroad, he was confronted with the biological basis for the confusion that had surrounded his life, a devastating finding.
Although Ayomide wanted to embrace who he was biologically, he also wanted to be the model child his parents desired. How can he be who he wanted to be without a full-blown conflict with his father, the outcome of which he could not predict?
