Deception is the deadliest tool of all. Where wolves roam free and the ancestors’ will shapes the land, power is a dangerous pursuit.
Wulfur, a rogue wolf with an insatiable thirst for dominance, has spent years defying the ancient ways, dragging his son, known as Runt, into a life of sabotage and thievery. Strangers in their own land, they steal from aspects and raid human camps, seeking to carve their names into the wild. But after a daring heist, the Runt earns his name — and with it, the weight of doubt about his father’s relentless pursuit of infamy.
As word of their exploits spreads, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, the young wolf grows weary of Wulfur’s deceit, realizing the true cost of his father’s lies and ambition. Their bond frays as the adolescent pup is torn between loyalty to his father and the deeper calling of their ancestors: The Greater Ones.
When a wise, mysterious wolf and a cunning crow foretell a path far more ambitious than either could have imagined, the young wolf must choose — follow in Wulfur’s shadow, or forge his own destiny, no matter the cost.
